this looks terrible rn idgaf look at my things.

doughnut macaroon cordura backpack

after 3 years of constant use as my daily driver and airplane carryon this backpack rocks. it still looks brand new and hasn't frayed or broken a zipper despite the fact i usually overstuff the thing daily. yes the handles are a little dumb... is that such a crime?

the medium size can carry a lot more than you'd think, i've been able to carry my 13 inch laptop and ipad along with headphones, charging cables, water bottle (it has four water bottle pouches, if you can believe it), art supplies and more without it feeling too cramped. that being said theres so many cool limited edition colors doughnut releases constantly so i do want to try out the larger backpack sizes someday. the cordura version is water repellant and pretty stain and scuff resistant so i'd recommend it over other versions.

hobonichi

one of those objects i'd waste precious seconds on saving in a housefire. listen yeah i haven't recovered since they changed the paper quality but the format is so natural to me at this point i don't see myself switching to another planner ever. i did give the a6 size a good try for about 4 years but as soon as they began releasing the weeks in english i've been inseparable from it. i'm coming on 7 years of using a hobonichi daily and it's one of my favorite things ever.

12.9 inch ipad pro 2017

i have put this thing through the wringer and the fact that its still working fine today even though i bought it ALREADY REFURBISHED is insane. this poor thing should not be able to run nomad sculpt but it does with flying colors. okay well its working fine but it does have a broken volume button that sets the volume to 100% constantly so i had to cut off a headphone jack and permanently plug it into the thing just to keep it from blasting any audio i happen to listen to on it. but other than that its a great experience. except for clip studio's subscription model for ipad. fuck you

mechanical keyboard

specs: dusk 67 case, pbt pastel grey keycaps on gateron smoothie switches

my most recent big purchase: my first mechanical keyboard! i debated getting a full size keyboard but overall i'm glad i stuck with this size because this wooden case looks too good to pass up. its also the same width as my current laptop so it fits great on my desk.

sony xm5

sony has outdone themselves on creating quite possibly the worst user experience ever with these headphones like it really does astonish me. its like if the windows authenticator app and a smartfridge that kills itself if you close the door too hard had a baby. no i don't want to have to download an app just to turn off your smart features only for them to randomly turn on again without you telling me. and if you're going to have headtracking sensors built in to automatically pause music when i take my headphones off can you make sure they actually work and don't pause my music every time i move and randomly shut down despite having a full battery. the noise cancelling (the only thing i purchased it for) is just okay. the touch gestures that are required to do anything with these headphones make me look deranged in public. every audio call i join is a gamble as for some reason sony thought it was a great idea to turn on ambient sound automatically whenever it detects your voice, a feature used by nobody ever, and disregards any attempts on your end to disable this things shitty built in microphone. this pair of headphones hates you. it wants you to spend 20-30 minutes any given day opening the sound control app, manipulating you into thinking you can control it in any capacity by individually turning 500 of its shitty features off.

xp pen 13.3 inch

not sure if they sell this version anymore but for $200 this display tablet is awesome and better than my ipad which was much more expensive (even when i bought it refurbished). xp pen even sent me a replacement pen for free after mine stopped working. i might be biased growing up making digital art on a computer but its always going to be a more natural drawing experience for me than drawing on an ipad. i've made a lot of art on both but the shortcuts and workflow on a pc is always going to beat out the gestures on ipad.
